Holiday rental website, Stayz, is listing Westfield Bondi Junction as available to rent for $1 on December 23.
“We’ve created a whole holiday rental inside Westfield Bondi Junction to help take the stress out of Christmas,” said Stayz marketing director, David Dunstan.
A temporary master bedroom, which sleeps four, will be rented to one family, keen to wake up on Christmas Eve to finish off their last minute Christmas shopping.
“Christmas is always our busiest time of the year with travellers flocking to holiday towns across the country to enjoy the break. The lead up to Christmas, and particularly Christmas shopping, seems to be the most stressful so we decided to do something about it.”
Located on level six of the shopping centre, Stayz said the rental mirrors typical holiday destinations with ‘panoramic views’ of Australia’s finest fashion, beauty and lifestyle retail destinations.
“It has all the bells and whistles of our holiday rentals, with views, space, beautiful decor plus early access to the shops to beat the crowds, which is sure to create a Christmas to remember,” said Dunstan.
The holiday rental goes live on December 15 at 12pm for one hour, and on Christmas Eve the selected family having access to David Jones for one hour before it opens to the public, equipped with a shopping voucher. A personalised concierge, family cinema pass and dining experience are additional gifts that the temporary occupants can expect as part of the one-night rental.
