Target confirms next designer tie up

MG FOR TARGET_PARIS_066Target has partnered with Australian model, Megan Gale, for its latest Designers for Target collaboration, with an exclusive homewares range to launch in 100 stores and online from September 10.

Gale’s homewares collection, MG Australia, will include 100 per cent cotton quilt cover sets, detailed sheets, and a selection of accent pieces including cushions, plush throws, and towels. Prices will start from $35.

Stuart Machin, MD of Target Australia, said he was thrilled to welcome the fashion model to the Target family.

“Megan is not only an international star but now an Aussie mum who oozes fashion and style. We’re thrilled Megan has chosen to partner with us for the next phase of her creative career. As you’ll see from her range, Megan has a keen eye for design – and we always look for Australian talent and that’s why we were so thrilled to have her join the Target family,” Machin said.

Gale said, “I have always seen home interiors as an extension of personal style – and creating my own homewares range has been something I have wanted to explore for some time”.

Since launching its Designers for Target collections in 2006, the discount department store has partnered with fashion designers including Roberto Cavalli, Dita Von Teese, and Stella McCartney.

Last year, Target Australia joined forces with Australian celebrity, Dannii Minogue, for its Dannii Minogue for Target Petites collection, and next month the retailer will launch a women’s capsule collection in partnership with local high end designer, Dion Lee.
