CEO departs Bellamy’s Andrew Cohen, CEO of infant formula maker Bellamy’s Organic Australia, has departed the company and will join a new venture at the end of the year, the Australian Financial Review has reported. He will be replaced by Bellamy’s director of operations, Peter Fridell, who joined the company in June 2017 as part of Cohen’s revamp of the executive team. Fridell will also join the Bellamy’s board. Cohen, formerly of Bain and Company, was chief operations and strategic officer before being appointed acting CEO in January 2017. His departure was announced about three weeks ago to Bellamy’s staff, but has emerged publicly just days after Treasurer Josh Frydenberg quietly vetoed the $600 million acquisition of Lion Dairy and Drinks by China’s Mengniu Dairy Co, Bellamy’s owner. Board diversity on the rise The representation of women on ASX 200 boards has continued to climb and is now at 31.3 per cent, with only one all-male board, the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) has revealed.  Five years ago, the AICD set a voluntary target of 30 per cent women on boards. At the time, women only made up 20.6 per cent of ASX 200 directors. AICD CEO and managing director Angus Armour said, “In just five years, we have seen boards successfully reach 30 per cent by voluntarily committing to the target. “We are very pleased to see that the momentum continues as organisations make diversity a priority. “However, it is important to recognise that diversity goes beyond a ‘one and done’ mentality. There are still 29 companies in the ASX 200 with only one female director. Ultimately, all boards should be working towards a 40:40:20 model for diversity in their leadership,” Armour said.
