Perelman Apps reboots grocery shopping experience

perelmanapps_image_1Auckland-based Perelman Apps has developed a white label mobile app for grocery retailers. This is a digital channel where retailers promote food and non-food categories while consumers can search recipes and buy ingredients to cook delicious meals.

The app provides seamless payment to the delivery journey; thus, users can choose to collect via in-store or home delivery.

For users, the app isn’t just a recipe-browsing solution as much as it is an entire meal-planning service. It saves time and money and offers healthy diets. Consumers are more and more conscious about what they eat, so the app offers various meal categories for customers with special conditions, including vegetarian, flexitarian, vegan, low carb, kosher, gluten-free, kids-friendly, and many others.

“Meal planning is easy with this app. Users simply add a recipe to any day and adjust the number of people,” says Edward Yarashev, Product Manager from Perelman Apps.

“What makes this solution different is personalisation. With this service, retailers increase sales by improving and personalising the user journey when buying groceries. The app allows the user to choose meal categories they prefer, create meal plans, and add breakfast, lunch, or dinner to the meal plan. User can remove or add a day from a meal plan, as well as adjust the number of people to a recipe.”

Retailers will benefit from this new distribution channel by increasing sales and growing market share. Technologies that change customer experience, mobile shopping, and personalisation are the latest retail trends according to recent reports*. People at Perelman Apps share this vision.

The app creates a meaningful customer experience and builds relationships between retailers and consumers and suppliers. In addition, a solution is an efficient tool for grocery retailers in increasing competition with booming meal kit services.

perelmanapps_image_2“Some time ago, retail banking was totally different — people used to go to the bank to make transactions, apply for credit cards or pay bills. Now all transactions can be done online by using banking mobile apps. Banks are more digital companies these days. Retail will go through this transformation as well,” says Edward Yarashev.

The app will be integrated with retailer current systems and data. The white label service will be adjusted to brand requirements and specs and then deployed and continuously delivered to a retailer. “Integration, additional development, and content creating will take up to 6 months and will not cost a fortune to a retailer. For retailers, Perelman Apps is one stop shop, where everything from UI and development to deployment is done in one place. Including recipes that are designed up to retailer’s price buckets and ingredients requirements,” mentioned Edward Yarashev.

The concept has already been introduced to several retailers, as well as industry professionals, and positive feedback was received.
