New era for Bevilles

bevilles new-2013-v4.inddAustralian-owned family jeweller, Bevilles Jewellers, is continuing with the rollout of its new, smaller jewellery only format stores, with three stores to be converted by the end of the year.

Bevilles first introduced its smaller format stores last year, removing its giftware lines and focusing solely on the brand’s jewellery ranges in a bid to lift sales and profitability.

The smaller concept has been tested at Highpoint shopping centre in Melbourne, and Liverpool in Sydney.

Stores at Tea Tree Plaza in South Australia; Miranda, NSW; and Knox in Victoria, have been earmarked as the next sites to be converted to the new format before the end of the year.

The rollout comes in conjunction with the company moving to a new head office on Coventry St, South Melbourne, after spending decades on Collins St, in Melbourne’s CBD.

Along with its new head office, Bevilles is celebrating its 80th year in the retail business run by three generations of the Beville family.

“We celebrated many wonderful years in Melbourne’s CBD and look forward to celebrating many more at our home, just up the road from where in all began,” Michelle Beville, CEO of Bevilles Jewellers, said.
