Walmart’s US e-commerce CEO to step down Marc Lore, the president and chief executive officer of e-commerce for Walmart US, will step down at the end of this month but will stay on as strategic advisor until September. Lore, who joined Walmart in 2016 when the company acquired Jet.com, a startup that he co-founded, jump-started the grocery chain’s digital business. During Lore’s tenure, the grocery chain grew its online assortment from about 10 million items to more than 80 million, expanded and transformed its e-commerce fulfilment network, and enabled same-day delivery on thousands of items, next-day delivery on hundreds of thousands of items and two-day delivery on millions of items.
Chanel names new sustainability chief
Chanel has appointed Kate Wylie as its global head of sustainability and president of Fondation Chanel, which focuses on empowering women and adolescent girls worldwide.
Wylie, who will join Chanel in April, will succeed Andrea d’Avack when she retires in June. She will report to Alain Wertheimer, Chanel’s chief executive and co-owner.
Formerly the global vice president of sustainability at food and drink company Mars, Wylie will be responsible for taking Chanel’s sustainability strategy, long-term commitments and expertise to the next level. She will also oversee the overall strategy of the foundation.
Forever New’s senior e-commerce manager joins ThreeByOne
Rachel Tigel has joined denim fashion business ThreeByOne as its new general manager of digital and customer service.
Tigel was previously senior e-commerce manager at Forever New, where she worked for almost three years. Prior to that, she worked at the Total Beauty Network.
ThreeByOne owns three brands: Neuw Denim, Rolla’s Jeans and Abrand Jeans.
Last year, Tigel was listed in the Top 50 People in E-commerce according to Internet Retailing.
