Peter Alexander has secured a licence to produce a sleep and lounge collection co-branded with Moulin Rouge, in a deal negotiated by Melbourne-based firm Asembl.

The Moulin Rouge collection, available in Peter Alexander stores and online, includes sleep and lounge pieces as part of Peter Alexander’s ‘Paris’ collection.

The sleepwear line is inspired by Moulin Rouge and features the club’s classic posters and themes. It comprises a trendy blue shirt, patterned PJ trousers, sleep shorts, a romper, a slinky nightie and a kimono gown.

“We appreciate Peter Alexander’s commitment to quality sleepwear, aligning well with the glamour of Moulin Rouge,” said the company’s VP of brand and strategic marketing Virginie Clerico.

“This collection offers consumers an enchanting taste of our Parisian Moulin Rouge world through Peter Alexander’s unique designs.  We look forward to more inspired collaborations and extending the Moulin Rouge magic to new horizons with Asembl.”

Asembl was recently selected as Moulin Rouge’s Australian and New Zealand licencing agent.

Peter Alexander Sleepwear was founded in 1987 as a pure catalogue business and has since evolved to become one of the largest sleepwear brands in Australia and New Zealand.

Since 1889, the Moulin Rouge in Paris has symbolised the Parisian way of life and has created product lines in conjunction with both French and international brands.
