Sephora confirms second Australian store

sephoraSephora will open its second Australian store at the Macquarie Centre in North Ryde, Sydney. Store construction has already commenced with the beauty mega store set to open its doors in September 2015.

The global beauty chain, owned by LVMH, has only one other store in Australia located in the iconic Pitt Street Mall in the Sydney CBD, and will be adding to its strong list of 2000 stores worldwide.

“Australia’s first Sephora store has been hugely successful and the demand for another store outside of the CBD has been high, said country manager from Sephora Australia, Libby Amelia.

Sephora Australia has also confirmed plans to expand its footprint across the country.

“I can’t confirm our next move just yet, but the brand is set to grow in Australia. For a long time, Australian beauty enthusiasts have been experiencing Sephora overseas, so we want to ensure we find the right location to ensure the brand heritage and DNA is always replicated,” said Amelia.

“In every store around the world, Sephora customers receive the same unique shopping experience; it’s a place for discovery, sensuality, entertaining, and expertise.”

The new Macquarie Centre store will be situated on Level 2 alongside other recently-launched international retailers including Zara, H&M and Forever 21.

Macquarie Centre is located just north of the Sydney CBD in North Ryde and is managed by AMP Capital Shopping Centres. Centre manager Kristina Carlsson, said the addition of Sephora will be hugely beneficial to the centre.

“Sephora will offer Macquarie Centre shoppers another exciting experience when they visit the centre. Not only can they shop the best in fashion at Macquarie Centre, but they will also have one of the world’s most exciting beauty stores at their fingertips,” said Carlsson.
