Retailer joins DJs board

David Jones Limited has confirmed the appointment of Melinda Conrad as a non-executive director of the company. Resource-6

It is intended that Conrad will stand for election as a director at the company’s annual general meeting on 22 November 2013.

Conrad sits on the boards of The Reject Shop Limited, The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, The Garvan Medical Research Institute Foundation, and the NSW Government Agency for Clinical Innovation.

She is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company directors and advises companies on strategy and marketing in the retail, consumer goods, healthcare, and government sectors.

Prior to taking on these non-executive and advisory roles Conrad was a brand manager at Colgate Palmolive and the CEO and Owner of Living and Giving Retail as well as the CEO and Founder of Conrads Warehouse Retail.

Conrad has completed a BA at Wellesley College Boston, USA and a Master of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.
