RedRoomDVD has launched a new online platform at www.redroomdvd.com which allows users to browse and reserve DVDs online for pickup at their local kiosk. The site publishes three Top 10 lists:
1) The Latest, which contains the most recent 10 DVD releases available
2) The Biggest, which contains the most rented DVDs titles over the past six months
3) The Best, which are the movies with the highest user rating, for the more discerning movie fan.
All three movie lists are automatically updated daily based on actual user ratings.
The company says its online presence will be the basis for RedRoomDVD to distribute content to users digitally in the future. “It is important that our members become fully engaged with the RedRoomDVD brand online and become comfortable transacting with us online in the lead up to making content available digitally,” said Joyce.
