Myer opens in Garden City

 

bernie_hawkins_myerDepartment store Myer has opened a 12,000sqm two level store in the $400 million redevelopment of Westfield Garden City shopping centre in Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane.

The store is the first in Queeensland to offer The Hub, which provides a range of instore services such as click and collect, gift registry, wifi, and iPads for customers to browse online stock.

The store stocks national and Myer exclusive brands across categories including women’s and men’s apparel, cosmetics, homewares, intimate apparel, electrical, footwear and accessories, small appliances, childrenswear, and youth.

Myer CEO, Bernie Brookes, said the department store will bring a new shopping experience to local residents.

“We believe the local community is going to embrace its new store and we can’t wait to welcome them with an inspirational range of merchandise and an enhanced shopping experience,” Brookes said.

Myer Mt Gravatt store manager, Milton Wallace, said there had been a great deal of excitement from the local community during the store development and he was confident shoppers would be delighted with the merchandise offering.

“We have been fortunate to employ almost 100 new local team members and they are busy being inducted with skills to provide world class service. Our team is really looking forward to opening the doors of Myer Mt Gravatt for the first time, and we are delighted to be one of the anchor tenants at Westfield Garden City shopping centre,” he added.
