Jamie Oliver chain to expand in Oz

1262481_643152689038953_922221801_o-1The western Sydney suburb of Parramatta has reportedly been chosen as the ideal site for a new Jamie Oliver restaurant.

Pacific Restaurant Group, which has the Jamie’s Italian restaurant franchise for Australia and New Zealand, is looking at a site at the corner of Church and Macquarie streets in Parramatta, The Sunday Telegraph reports.

The group’s MD, Adam Heathcote, has confirmed their interest.

“It is very early days but we have had a meeting with the council,” he told the newspaper.

Jamie’s Italian serves high quality Italian food using only fresh produce.

The Parramatta restaurant would be the fourth Jamie’s Italian in Australia.

The first opened in Sydney in 2011, the second in Perth’s CBD in March this year and the third in Canberra on Melbourne Cup day in November.
