DJs to stock UK label

 

Phase EightDavid Jones has signed an exclusive department store agreement to stock UK high street fashion brand, Phase Eight.

Phase Eight has 106 stand alone stores in the UK (including a new flagship store launched in March this year in James Street London), and 196 concessions. It is the top selling womenswear brand in UK department stores John Lewis, House of Fraser, and Debenhams.

It will be available in David Jones’ Elizabeth St store in Sydney and Bourke St Mall, Melbourne stores from February 2014 before progressively being rolled out across other stores in Davis Jones’ portfolio.

The Phase Eight womenswear brand was founded in 1979 by Patsy Seddon and specialises in occasion and wedding dresses.

Phase Eight COO, Lee Harlow said the brand is increasingly focused on developing our global brand presence markets such as Australia and Asia.

“We felt that David Jones was the ideal partner to launch Phase Eight in Australia. David Jones has a rich heritage, and Phase Eight are excited to be a part of this. We also have been impressed by the David Jones team, their clothing offer and high standards in store. We are committed to partnering with them to grow our presence further,” Harlow said.

Donna Player, head of merchandise at David Jones said there is a strong synergy between David Jones and Phase Eight.
