Di Bella Coffee targets Asian network

Di Bella CoffeeAustralia coffee chain, Di Bella Coffee, has announced plans to make a second attempt to break into India.

Di Bella, which already operates in New Zealand and China, is also planning to enter Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines

One year after terminating its partnership with Sachin Sabharwal, the Queensland-based chain’s parent company, Espresso Enterprises, has acquired a five per cent stake in AL Global Group, licensed to open Di Bella Coffee shops in India, West Asia, Europe, and Africa.

“This company has seven stores, four in Mumbai and three in Hyderabad, which were transferred from the joint venture between Sachin Sabharwal and I,” founder, Phillip Di Bella, told Business Standard.

“We are launching a new store in Mumbai and re-launching two existing stores in the city. By the end of this year, we will add another seven stores, mostly in Mumbai.”

Di Bella Coffee is aiming for up to 150 outlets in India within three years.
