Fitness brand Peloton is launching its first Australian showroom later this week, and will partner with department store David Jones to boost its bricks-and-mortar presence.
Peloton’s first showroom will open on Wednesday in Westfield Bondi Junction, and will soon be followed by a standalone showroom on Sydney’s Martin Place.
The first Peloton installation in the country, however, launched on Monday in David Jones’ Elizabeth Street store, with two more to launch in David Jones’ Bourke Street and Chadstone stores.
“[Our] new physical footprint illustrates our commitment to Australia and our members, locally and abroad,” said Peloton Australia’s country manager Karen Lawson.
“We are excited to offer Aussies, who lead the world in the uptake of fitness and technology innovation, this retail experience, and the new installations are a great way to learn more about the brand.”
David Jones’ general manager of menswear, childrenswear and home Chris Wilson said the department store is thrilled to be partnering with the interactive fitness product.
“By setting up installations in three of our major flagship stores with dedicated experts to provide advice, we have been able to create an engaging experience for our customers enabling them to immerse themselves into the first-class Peloton brand experience,” said Wilson.
In the installations, David Jones is showing off Peloton’s Bike and Bike+ products.
