Uniqlo fosters learning

uniqloUniqlo has partnered with the Ardoch Youth Foundation to see a group of  year 11 and 12 students from Nelson Park School in Geelong region visit Uniqlo’s Emporium store in Melbourne for a hands on experience in the retail industry.

During their visit, the Nelson Park students will have the opportunity to meet Uniqlo employees and speak to them about their work, explore the store with a walking tour, participate in a creative activity, and share a Japanese inspired lunch with the Uniqlo Emporium team.

The students will each be given a $50 Uniqlo voucher and provided with the task of budgeting an outfit at the store, which they will be able to take home.

The Ardoch Youth Foundation is a children’s charity that partners with schools in communities with high levels of socioeconomic disadvantage to help children and young people realise their potential through education.

Kate Evans, Uniqlo Australia CSR, PR & events manager, said that Uniqlo’s vision aligns closely with that of the Ardoch Youth Foundation.

“Our partnership with the Ardoch Youth Foundation is a significant step toward realising our CSR vision to change the world for the better through clothing. An event like this allows young people the opportunity to learn about Uniqlo, career pathways and our approach to customer service,” said Evans.
