New Eastland opens its doors

Eastland 3The first stage of Eastland Shopping Centre’s $665 million redevelopment opens today, with Target ambassador, Jessica Mauboy, and David Jones ambassadors, Jessica Gomes and Jesinta Campbell, on hand to celebrate.

Around 100 new stores will open their doors, including leading Australian and international brands such as David Jones, Uniqlo, H&M, and Target. David Jones, Target, and Hoyts will also be unveiling their new-generation store formats.

New food concepts will be shown off, such as George Calombaris’ Jimmy Grants Deluxe and Frank Camorra’s Paco’s Tacos. Art installations from David Bromley and Joost Bakker will be on display for the public to enjoy.

The opening of stage one will coincide of the launch of Realm, a library and cultural facility, and Town Square, a public space created in partnership with Maroondah City Council, which is designed to connect people with a renewed sense of place as the new vibrant cornerstone for the community.
