Lenard’s boosts board

Lenard'sLenard’s Group has bolstered its board with the appointment of John Lyons as chairman and Andrew Champion as a non executive director.

Lenard’s founder, Lenard Poulter, says both Lyons and Champion bring to the board a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing businesses in highly competitive environments.

“For over 25 years we have continually evolved our business, which has seen us go from strength to strength even in a difficult retail environment. Bringing John and Andrew into the business will open new doors and give us another competitive edge. Both have been successful in their own rights, and we look forward to them bringing their experiences to our executive team,” said Poulter.

In the last six months alone, as part of an ongoing strategic review, the business has partnered with independent fresh food retailers that sees Lenard’s product sold through convenient local locations such as IGA stores, butchers, and delis.

“Our business has always, and will continue to be, built from the customer’s perspective. We are focused on providing top quality products and service and a rewarding shopping experience for our customers,” says Poulter.

“Our ability to remain fresh and a competitive retailer is partly due to how we continually evolve our business model. John and Andrew will bring new thinking to the boardroom table and will challenge the status quo, which is exactly what we want them to do.

“We have a number of innovative programs to roll out over the next twelve months that will evolve our store offering so it’s an exciting time. The entire business is excited that Andrew and John have joined our team”.
