Brisbane’s newest homemaker centre, Skygate Home & Life, opened over the weekend in the Skygate precinct at Brisbane Airport.
The precinct is home to Queenland’s only 24/7 Woolworths, DFO Brisbane and more than 160 specialty stores, including Nick Scali, TK Maxx, James Lane, Sleeping Giant and Pillow Talk. More retailers are set to join in the coming weeks.
The 9260 square meter, $18 million centre, which was constructed over the course of 10 months, was developed by Brisbane Airport Corporation’s (BAC) property division in order to expand the retail offering at Skygate.
“There has been really solid interest from large format retailers following the announcement of the project and we’re thrilled with the calibre of retailers that we’ve secured at Skygate Home & Life,” BAC’s general manager of commercial business John Tormey said.
“We’re looking forward to a successful opening and have quite a number of promotional activities planned to help spread the word about this incredible new homemaker offering.”
The grand opening of Skygate Home & Life will take place on November 10, 2018. Giveaways, discounts and promotions will be offered to shoppers to mark the occasion.
