About 50 firefighters are working to put out a blaze at four retail shops in an industrial area in Perth’s south. 
The fire started in one large shop in the Myaree Industrial Area at the corner of Leach Highway and North Lake Road in Myaree around 4.20am (WST), the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) say.
It has spread to three shops and nearby streets in Myaree, Winthrop, Kardinya and Coolbellup may be affected by smoke.
North Lake Road between Leach Highway and Canning Highway are closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
DFES says people in the area should remain inside, with doors and windows closed as a precaution.
