Jeremy Langmead has returned to the Net-A-Porter Group in the newly created role of brand and content director at Mr Porter as of June 1.
Langmead was editor in chief of the site and one of the founding members when Mr Porter launched in 2011. In his new role, Langmead will drive overall brand vision and lead the content and marketing teams globally.
Mr Porter has seen growth in the US market over the past 12 months. In light of this, John Brodie will take on the new role of editorial director US, overseeing all US content and providing a stronger focus on the potential of one of our largest markets.
Langmead’s goal is to build on Mr Porter’s content and strong editorial vision that Brodie has been leading, and to drive creative brand marketing around the world.
He will report into MD, Ian Tansley, and will be based in the London Headquarters of the Net-A-Porter Group.
“I’m thrilled to be returning home to Mr Porter. A year away was far too long. I can’t wait to take on this new role and join together the content, branding and marketing elements of Mr Porter and create a powerful strategy to continue the extraordinary growth the brand has already seen since it launched in 2011.” says Langmead.
Tansley said the business is thrilled to welcome Langmead back to the team.
“We are proud to see that the founding principals of our business, that he helped put in place, will continue to develop further with his return.
“The merging of content, brand marketing and commerce is core to the Mr Porter DNA and as a highly experienced content creator and an innovative and experienced marketer, Jeremy is absolutely the right man to be at the helm of our brand for this next exciting chapter in the life of Mr Porter.”
