Discounts for Defence workers

 

defence, army, war, gun, fightingA group of Australian retailers have come together to provide families of military personnel a savings instore through a program called APOD – Defence Discounts Online.

After negotiating with some of Australia’s leading retailers including Angus & Coote, Fitness First, H&R Block, Mountain Designs, Ultra Tune and Marriott, APOD, which stands for Australian Partners of Defence, has secured  offers and discounts for its membership base of Defence families.

APOD director, Kerry Newsome said “Defence families can do it tough and as members of the Defence community ourselves, we wanted to do something to help repay the sacrifices that are made for the benefit of us all”.

The program kicks off on October 1, with APOD predicting it could save member families up to $1000 per year.

Members will have access to 16 categories of products and services, such as household electrical, dining out, entertainment, travel, and fashion.

Membership is open to all present or past serving military personnel and immediate family members.
