Officeworks Fitzroy will host its fifth recycling pop-up day on February 15, where locals can bring household batteries and other tech items for collection and recycling.

The People and Planet Positive Pop Up Day will be held at Officeworks Fitzroy Car Park, 230 Alexandra Parade, Fitzroy, Victoria.

The pop-up will accept products such as computers, video equipment, games consoles, cameras, televisions, printers, hard drives, phones, ink and toner cartridges.

Officeworks reminded customers to delete their data from their devices before dropping them for recycling.

The stationery and office suppliers retailer collected up to 933kg of electronic waste and 18kg of batteries in a single day in its previous events.

Last November, Officeworks launched its ‘Bring it Back for Business’ technology waste reduction initiative in Victoria.
