Woolworths has announced its intention to appoint Holly Kramer to the company’s board as a non-executive director in the first half of 2016.

Kramer was the chief executive of Best & Less and prior to that she held executive roles at Pacific Brands and Telstra.

She is currently serving as a non-executive director of Australia Post, Nine Entertainment Corporation and AMP Limited.

Kramer has a BA with honours in economics and political science from Yale University and an MBA from Georgetown University.

In September, Woolworths announced two of its directors, Christine Cross and David Mackay, will not seek re-election at the company’s 2015 annual general meeting this month.
