New CEO for Honey Birdette Luxury lingerie and accessories retailer Honey Birdette has named former L’Occitane executive Kim Kidd (pictured) as CEO. Kidd stepped into the role last week from founder Eloise Monaghan, who has led the brand since its inception in 2006. Kidd was hired just seven months ago as CFO, focusing on strategy and growth. Prior to joining Honey Birdette, she was finance and IT director for high-end beauty retailer L’Occitane for three years. Kidd, who is originally
originally from the UK, has worked across the globe, working for a range of multinational giants and small businesses.
Monaghan said in a statement that she plans to move back to the US in July “to continue our flagship expansion from five stores in California to over 15 locations in the next 18 months and including regions such as Texas, Florida, New York and Vancouver”.
Patagonia CEO to exit role
Rose Marcario is stepping down from her role as Patagonia’s president and CEO, effective immediately, after leading the company for seven years. COO Doug Freeman will act as CEO during the search for a successor.
Patagonia, an outdoor clothing retailer based in Ventura, California, is known for its advocacy around environmental issues. During her tenure, Marcario led efforts to eliminate waste and develop new sustainable materials for the company’s products, and advocated for numerous environmental and social justice causes.
Patagonia sales quadrupled to US$1 billion during her tenure.
Marcario joined the company in 2008 as CFO and COO. Prior to joining Patagonia, she served as an executive VP at Capital Advisors and as senior VP and CFO at Apple offshoot General Magic, LA Biz reports.
Marcario told the website that her departure has been planned since late last year.
Collins Foods appoints new CEO
Collins Foods has promoted COO Drew O’Malley to be CEO, effective July 1, following the retirement of MD and CEO Graham Maxwell.
O’Malley joined Collins Foods in 2017. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the fast food industry and has held various roles at AmRest, the largest independent chain restaurant operator in Central and Eastern Europe, including COO and brand president of KFC.
O’Malley’s roles at AmRest included president of the Central Europe Division in which he was responsible for over 500 restaurants across four brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Burger King) and several countries in Central Europe with annual sales of over US$600 million.
