Australian luxury leather goods brand, Oroton, has returned to Hong Kong with a new boutique at Hysan Avenue.
In 2010, Oroton selected Hong Kong as the first country in its international expansion, with a pop up boutique at IFC Mall. Three years later, the brand has returned to the city on a permanent basis with a boutique in Causeway Bay.
The store was designed by the Oroton team headed by creative director and GM, Ana Maria Escobar, and features a full range of handbags, small accessories and gifts, jewellery, timepieces, footwear, knitwear and outerwear, along with a collection of essential men’s accessories.
The Hong Kong boutique is the first in the world to showcase the new season’s collection, inspired by 1970 Australian architecture and textures such as stone, brushed metals, and natural wood.
Oroton has 59 stores in Australia, as well as seven in Asia and two in New Zealand. It’s estimated that Asian sales now represent three per cent of Oroton’s takings; a roughly one per cent increase from financial year 2012.
The group is expected to open its first Middle Eastern store later this month in Dubai , as well as launch a Chinese-specific e-commerce website.
