Forever 21 launches global activewear range

forever-21-activewear-collection-1US fast-fashion retailer Forever 21 has launched its activewear collection globally at its stores and on its website.

A company spokesperson for the fashion brand told Inside Retail that the new range has been shaped by customers’ continued interest in the activewear segment.

“We created this collection with the mindset of providing an activewear collection that is functional, fashionable and at a great value for our customers.

“These are three core components that our customers have come to expect and know that they will get when they shop at Forever 21.”

The Los Angeles-headquartered label has 730 stores in 48 countries including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea and the Philippines. The fashion brand said it sees activewear as a key segment of the fashion industry moving forward.

“Activewear as a fashion category has undertaken a major evolution over the last few years and has become an integral component of the modern wardrobe,” the spokesperson said.

The new collection provides low, medium and high impact pieces in an array of soft and neon hues.

The Fit and Run assortment is designed for high-impact activity and features bold prints, sweat resistance, matching sets and lightweight jackets.

The Booty Sculpt assortment is designed for medium-impact activity and aims to highlight and define curves. It features black and charcoal hues, with high-waisted shorts, capris and leggings with power mesh inserts.

For low-impact activity, the Dance and Yoga assortment features soft tones and delicate styles such as loose-fitting joggers and wrap-around tops designed for layering.

Earlier this year, the teen apparel chain was reported to be among those vying to acquire the bankrupt American Apparel LLC.
