Optus’ flagship Bourke Street Mall store in Melbourne has taken two design awards.

The store was awarded first place in the store fit-out category of the National Retail Association (NRA) Retail Awards recognising merchants committed to pushing innovation and adopting new store functionality, technology, and design.

The store also won gold in the prestigious 2023 Global Future Design Awards, making Optus the only Australian winner in the global competition.

“The futuristic store presents products and services in a highly interactive format, allowing our customers to experience our offerings in more intimate and immersive ways than ever before,” said Frances Martin, VP of operations and enablement at Optus.

These awards, according to the brand, reaffirm Optus’ dedication to customers, as the company seeks to “offer something exciting in store for every shopper to enjoy,” from acquiring a new handset to discovering smart products and learning about bespoke solutions and services.
