Officeworks raises $1 million in Make A Difference Appeal

Officeworks’ annual Make A Difference Appeal raised $1,000,496 this year.

With children’s health and education the focus of this year’s appeal, Officeworks store teams selected organisations they wanted to help that they considered were relevant to their local communities.

Customers were encouraged to either round up the cost of their purchase or make a direct donation at check out in-store or online. Through a collective effort, 14 local community organisations will benefit from the support.

Sarah Hunter, Officeworks MD, said: “Our annual Make A Difference Appeal aims to support local causes and organisations close to our hearts by providing them with the resources they need to continue their important work in our local communities where we live and work.”

The appeal is in its fifth year and is part of Officeworks’ People & Planet Positive Plan commitment which aims to raise $5 million for local community causes by 2025.

Total donations received for each community organisation are:

● Little Dreamers: $59,206.
● Koala Kids: $65,937.
● Bear Cottage: $93,424.
● Youth Off The Streets: $75,940.
● The Les Twentyman Foundation: $79,823.
● Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: $93,615.
● Tasmania PCYC: $11,871.
● The Pyjama Foundation: $107,898.
● Puddle Jumpers: $46,832.
● Children’s Hospital Foundation: $74,042.
● Daniel Morcombe Foundation: $63,736.
● Telethon: $65,747.
● Caring Kids: $84,716.
● Little Wings: $77,701.
