Luxury fashion label Stella McCartney has partnered with LVMH to launch a new beauty Maison, Stella by Stella McCartney.
The new brand reflects McCartney’s ambition to expand into the cosmetic industry. The product line includes three variants: Reset Cleanser, Alter-Care Serum, and Restore Cream.
Stella McCartney claims its new approach promotes environmental responsibility and its vegan cosmetic is natural, effective, and responsible. The lineup results from three years of research and development by LVMH Recherche, the group’s beauty R&D unit.
In addition, according to McCartney, each formula comes in an eco-conscious refill and is made with at least 99 per cent natural ingredients.
“The launch of Stella by Stella McCartney perfectly resonates with the Group’s longstanding commitment toward sustainability and we are proud to support it”, said Antoine Arnault, image & environment at LVMH.
“We set out with an idea, and because we didn’t want to compromise on outstanding results, the origin of our ingredients, and, of course, ensuring we minimised our impact on Mother Earth, we kept on trying.”
Stella McCartney will donate 1 per cent of the net sales of Stella skincare to support the conservation NGO Wetlands International.
