point of sale, pos, ipad, counter, food, eftpos, shopping, retailPoint of sale software provider, Vend, has appointed a new channel manager for Australia as part of its strategy to grow its local channel network.

Newly appointed channel manager, Esbjorn Torstensson, will be responsible for managing and growing Vend’s network of partners in Australia.

“We’ve currently got 230 partners in Australia but we’re keen to double this in 2014, so would encourage accountants, bookkeepers and small business advisors to get in touch,” explains Torstensson.

Prior to joining Vend, Esbjorn was an account manager with GeoOp. Prior to this he was a direct account manager with Xero as well as an account manager for My Mac Australia.

As part of its expansion strategy Vend has also a new Partner Dashboard enabling partners to complete their Vend certification, ensure their teams are up to date with training, and can access the newest marketing material as well as latest Vend news, feature updates, and upcoming events.

As part of Vend’s investment in their channel network, Dan Gribbon was appointed earlier this year as channel training manager to oversee the support and training of Vend partners and resellers and Briony Medhurst will be relocating as channel account manager from Auckland to Melbourne in May.
