Uniqlo sets Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre date

uniqloJapanese fast fashion retailer, Uniqlo, has today announced its Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre store will open on July 28.

The new store at Pacific Werribee in Victoria’s South-West comes as part of the centre’s $400 million redevelopment.

“Our growth strategy across Victoria has been a key focus and priority for our business since we opened our first store in Melbourne in 2014,” said Shochi Miyasaka, CEO of Uniqlo Australia. “Victorian shoppers have shown an extremely positive response to Uniqlo so far, and we are passionate about making our products more accessible to shoppers across the state.”

“We are proud to be opening our fourth store in Victoria at Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre, allowing shoppers in the western region of Melbourne to experience the Uniqlo brand closer to home,” said Miyasaka.

The store will cover a sales area of 995sqm and expected to create over 60 jobs for local residents.

“Welcoming such a prominent global brand to Pacific Werribee’s stable of leading retailers is a really proud moment for us,” said Graham Terry, Pacific Shopping Centres.

“We’re confident the introduction of Uniqlo to Pacific Werribee will really strengthen the centre’s fashion offering for global fashion seekers, and we look forward to seeing the community’s response.”

The store marks the retailer’s fourth offering in Victoria and its 12th nationwide.
