Multi-channel communications provider, Salmat, has appointed Luke Sullivan as its new national head of agency sales, moving from News Corporation where he was group sales director.

Sullivan has previously worked at News Corporation owned titles including News Corp UK, The Advertiser and Sunday Mail in Adelaide, and as advertising manager of the Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun.

His focus will be growing Salmat’s national media agency strategy, particularly across Letterbox Media, reinvigorating the highly targeted media channel.

“The opportunity to talk to agencies about the mass and targeting capabilities of the medium as well as how it can complement existing media is what excites me about the role.

“Agencies are typically unaware of Salmat’s targeting capabilities and it’s now easier than ever to plan with the upcoming launch of SwiftPlan, our brand new media planning tool,” Sullivan says.

Nigel Mendonca, executive GM of sales at Salmat, said the appointment of Sullivan is a timely boost for the company as it makes greater inroads into a share of the $13.9 billion advertising industry spend.

“Luke brings with him brilliant industry experience across several states and has had more than a decade at one of the world’s leading media companies. He is well respected in the media agency community and we are excited to have him join the team.”
