The Italian fashion house has signed a new lease at the landmark mixed use complex, at 45 Collins St. It will occupy 400sqm over two levels in what will be a new, expanded Melbourne headquarters for the label.
Ermenegildo Zegna will join Giorgio Armani on the Collins St frontage of the building. Armani has recommitted to the store for a further term.
Zegna will incorporate its international design to the frontage of the Collins St store.
AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund manager, Nick McGrath, said the two Italian luxury retailers will occupy space adjacent to the corner of the Sofitel Hotel driveway at the Paris end of Collins St.
“Collins Place is an iconic property, occupying a premium location on Collins St in Melbourne and the AMP Capital Wholesale Fund is pleased to welcome Ermenegildo Zegna as a new tenant to the precinct and to extend our relationship with Giorgio Armani,” McGrath said.
“AMP Capital Wholesale Office Fund has been actively revitalising Collins Place to improve experiences for visitors by enhancing the public space areas and delivering an exciting retail offer.
“Concurrently, we are working with office and retail tenants on solutions that better serve their needs through reconfigurations and upgrades for both existing and new customers.”
The Ermenegildo Zegna lease was negotiated on behalf of AMP Capital by Ben Tremellen of Colliers International.
