Australian online furniture retailer Milan Direct plans to seek further growth in Asia. milan-direct

The company is looking to start operations in China, Singapore, and Korea due to experiencing a lot of traffic from customers in those markets.

“Asian consumers are starting to gear up for e-commerce and that means there will be demand,” said co-founder Dean Ramler.

Milan Direct was founded by 2007 and sells more than 700,000 products in over 40 countries. Its goal is to achieve $15 million revenue this year from $12.6 million in 2012.

The company plans to attract more customers by featuring new Australian designers and launching new brands.

Besides Asia, the US is also an attractive market for the company, it says.

Milan Direct says it has no plan to open bricks and mortar stores.
