Swiss chocolatier, Lindt & Sprüngli, has announced it will open its next Aussie store at Harbour Town Gold Coast on May 27.

The 163sqm retail chocolate shop will feature a wide range of premium chocolate products and a large selection of Lindor balls, with the Lindt Chocolate Bar to serve takeaway chocolate beverages that include a winter collection of hot chocolates like Hazelnut and Salted Caramel flavours.

The new chocolate shop will celebrate its opening over three days with a giveaway totalling 300 kilos of chocolate.

“Our opening events are always a busy but fun time, and are great opportunities to introduce our concept to the local community,” said Stephen Loane, CEO of Lindt Australia.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our store network to the Gold Coast, the new location is a perfect addition to our retail portfolio,” Loane said.

Harbour Town Gold Coast is undergoing a $20 million expansion with the addition of up to 27 new retailers as part of the stage two north western development, where the Lindt Chocolate Shop will be located. The expansion will increase the footprint of Australia’s largest outlet shopping centre by 3500sqm to include an additional mall featuring a new collection of premium outlet brands, plus significant centre upgrades.

There are currently eight Lindt Chocolate Cafés and eight Lindt Chocolate Shops across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.
