Cotton On Group has appointed ethicist and author, Dr Pippa Grange as GM of People and Culture.
Grange’s appointment will build on the Group’s employee initiatives, development programs, and focus on a high performance culture.
In the past 18 months, the Group has invested significantly in its people, rolling out a $30 million educational platform, Cotton On Group Uni, in conjunction with Deakin University.
Grange will lead Cotton On’s global strategy in addition to recruitment, HR, health and wellbeing, ethics, and workplace safety.
Cotton On Group now employs more than 19,000 staff in 17 countries.
“We are thrilled to have Pippa join our leadership team and her appointment demonstrates our continued focus on the professional development and personal wellbeing of our people globally,” said Peter Johnson, CEO of Cotton On Group.
“Ms Grange’s extensive experience will further drive the development of our business and our leaders, underpinned by the robust culture and values system we have in place today.
“As we continue to expand across the globe, we have welcomed over 2000 new employees in the past year, including the successful integration of the Supré business. Pippa will continue to ensure our unique culture and ethical values remain as strong as they are today, in turn creating positive and lasting impacts for everyone we touch along the way,” he said.
Says Grange of her new role: “The Cotton On Group continues to pave the way in innovative retailing practices, with a focus on its people and their personal and professional development, which traditionally hasn’t always been a priority within this market sector.
“Despite such rapid expansion, the Group has never lost sight of the importance of their people and their growth. I look forward to actively contributing to this high performance culture.”
