During this global crisis, we have seen women emerge and take charge in remarkable ways. Political leaders, front-liners, mothers —  they demonstrated their incredible unique strength as women to bring harmony in a chaotic world.

And we have seen the same thing in the tech and retail world. As more daring women penetrate the once male-dominated world of technology, they also bring with them unique skills and a different perspective that cement their place at the table. These 3 Ladies in Tech share their inspiring journeys in the tech and retail workspace. They are totally LIT!

A Woman’s Colourful Journey in the Tech World

Fiona Moylan started her tech career over 15 years ago but is now the Global Director for Digital & ECommerce at Jurlique, a natural cosmetics manufacturer, handling project delivery and marketing strategies. “Jurlique was the next step for me to lead a major transformation myself, for a brand and industry I loved, and it’s been one hell of a journey,” she said.

Fiona’s approach to navigating the tech world was simply getting up to speed on the subject matter, but more importantly, building strong working relationships. With her dedication to learning and the amazing experts coaching her, Fiona built the prowess that enabled her to lead Jurlique’s Salesforce suite implementation — resulting in double-digit improvement in sales, doubled conversion in some regions, and reduced overall costs.

A Nurturing Perspective in Driving Tech Innovation

As the CMO of the Bunnik Travel Group, Catherine Kelly boldly stepped into the tech world when her company launched their digital transformation journey. Though she has had her fair share of hurdles navigating this field, she rose through it with passion and grit — all while cradling her baby in her arms.

Catherine has developed invaluable skills during her journey, equipping her to guide their business through the pandemic. Leading their Salesforce initiative, she is constantly looking at ways they can further enhance the customer experience with personalised journeys to keep the dream of travel alive, even though actual travel may be some way off.

Creating Omnichannel Experiences for the Customer

Ingrid Powell has been working deep in web development as the Digital Marketing Manager of Choices Flooring when she initiated their digital transformation journey with Salesforce. Ingrid believes that women bring a unique ability to utilise the left and right brain analogy, combining both analytical and creative ideas — so she harnessed that ability and proposed a solution to their business problems: Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

With AFDigital, Ingrid has the power to execute amazing automated journeys that take their customer experience to new heights, and she’s just getting started.

Using Ingrid’s beautiful strengths as a woman — thinking outside the square, multi-tasking, and thinking laterally — she will definitely be doing more amazing things in the tech and retail space.

Ladies in Tech aims to share inspiration across the retail world with the stories of these 3 wonderful women. Despite challenges, ladies working together for each other will always yield extraordinary results.
