Fast-food restaurant chain McDonald’s has collaborated with casual footwear label Crocs in Australia to release the first-ever McDonald’s x Crocs collection.

Available across the country from Wednesday (November 7), the collection includes the Grimace x Crocs Cozzy Sandal, Birdie x Crocs Classic Clog, Hamburglar x Crocs Classic Clog, and McDonald’s x Crocs Classic Clog.

Inspired by both brands’ loyalists, the mashup will also include the release of a Jibbitz and socks line.

The brands said the items are designed to give customers a way to “live out their unapologetically bold fandom every day”.

“We’re constantly blown away by the way our fans show off their love for McDonald’s, and as it turns out, Crocs’ fanbase is just as passionate,” said Amanda Nakad, marketing director for McDonald’s Australia.

“We’re excited to team up with Crocs – another brand that’s deeply embedded in culture – on our first-ever global shoe collab and look forward to seeing our Aussie customers rock some Crocs on the streets of Australia.”

Global sales of Crocs shoes soared 11.6 per cent in the recently-ended third quarter, reaching $1.24 billion with the highest sales growth seen in the Asia-Pacific region.
