Grant Kelley is to retire as the CEO and MD of Vicinity Centres after five years in the role.

Vicinity’s chairman, Trevor Gerber, said Kelley has multiple achievements and contributions under his belt including a major asset recycling program that “transformed the quality” of Vicinity’s retail asset portfolio.

“Grant successfully led Vicinity through the significant and unprecedented challenges of the pandemic while at the same time, ensuring the company was well-positioned to deliver on its long-term growth objectives,” said Gerber.

Kelley said the past five years at Vicinity were extremely rewarding and he was proud to be leaving the company in a strong financial and operational position that will support continued growth and value creation in the future.

To facilitate a smooth transition, he will retire from the company by June 30 next year.
