Kennedy appoints new executives, including David Jones’ retail director

Luxury watch business Kennedy has bolstered its executive team, bringing in David Jones’ director of retail Aaron Faraguna and QBE Insurance chief customer officer Bettina Pidcock.

Kennedy has 14 boutiques across Australia, and features brands such as Rolex, Panerai, Graff, Omega, Cartier and Tudor.

Faraguna will serve as the business’ group general manager of retail and merchandise, while Pidcock joins as chief marketing officer.

Kennedy executive chairman James Kennedy said, with the growing expertise of its executive team, the watch retailer is in an increasingly strong position.

“Having worked at a number of business ranging from startups to large corporate enterprises, Aaron has extensive experience across all retail disciplines, specifically identifying and establishing new markets for brands, implementing and maintaining operational excellence and building high performance retail teams,” said Kennedy.

“Bettina’s extensive experience in marketing multiple elements of consumer financial services will help guide the company’s brand positioning, with an emphasis on e-commerce and digital.”

Faraguna said Kennedy is well placed to serve an increasingly wealthy Australian consumer, and is looking forward to working with the operations and merchandise team to bring the brand to new customers.

Last year the business launched a new website, modelled on the best online offerings and aiming to help customers through the full watch-buying journey: from education through the purchase.

“Building on the Kennedy reputation for superb client experiences using customer data to drive ever higher levels of engagement is a challenge that drew to to this glamorous and exciting category,” said Pidcock.
