Zara to open third Sydney site

Resource-5Spanish fashion chain, Zara, is continuing its Australian expansion, with the retailer to open its seventh Australian store in Sydney’s Westfield Chatswood.

It will be Zara’s third Sydney site, with stores already in Bondi Junction and the CBD.

The global fashion beheamoth is also continuing its shopping group alliance, with the store to be its fourth Westfield site nationally.

The fast fashion chain first splashed into Australia in 2011 on Melbourne’s Bourke St; a move that beat rivals Topshop and H&M to the punch.

The retailer has so far stuck to stores in NSW, Victoria, and South Australia, with imminent Brisbane and Perth stores still unconfirmed rumours.

The opening date of its Westfield Chatswood store is also yet to be confirmed.

Last month, the chain’s co-founder and the richest Spanish woman, Rosalia Mera, died at the age of 69 after suffering a stroke while on holiday in Menorca.
