US-based homewares and furniture group, Williams-Sonoma, will open in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, this winter.
The opening, marked by a job advertisement hanging on James St, will be the first Queensland-based stores for Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm.
The four stores will occupy 2500sqm of retail space.
It follows the opening of a standalone store in Melbourne’s Chadstone shopping centre last November.
Williams-Sonoma first opened in Australia at Bondi Junction, followed by a standalone West Elm store in Melbourne.
In August last year, all four brands opened at Sydney’s Chatswood Chase.
All four brands also have dedicated e-commerce platforms for the Australian market: williams-sonoma.com.au; potterybarn.com.au; potterybarnkids.com.au; westelm.com.au.
Williams-Sonoma follows an influx of international retailers opening in Brisbane, such as H&M, Topshop, Zara, and Uniqlo.
