Tom Godfrey has been appointed head of media for consumer watchdog, Choice.
Godfrey has previously held senior marketing, communications and management roles with Standards Australia, the British Standards Institution, SAI Global, Bell George Communications and BG Mobile Apps. His work spans social media, public relations, corporate branding, and media management.
He is currently a non-executive director at Goods Environmental Choice Australia. Alan Kirkland, CEO of Choice, said Godfrey is a proven public relations executive with a strong experience in both not-for-profit organisations and public companies.
“We are very excited to welcome Tom to this important role. He brings with him a wealth of experience communicating about issues that matter to consumers and we look forward to working with him to put consumer concerns at the heart of public debate.”
Godfrey said he was delighted to be taking on the role and is looking forward to empowering consumers to make informed decisions about the products and services they purchase every day.
