Walmart, Amazon to lead Retail Leaders Forum

 

unnamed-1The Retail Leaders Forum will return in March 2015, with keynotes from some of the world’s largest and most innovative retailers.

Headlining the event is Andrea Thompson, SVP marketing for the world’s largest retailer, Walmart, who will be talking about ways to approach the new marketing challenges facing retail.

Babak Parviz, the inventor of Google Glass and VP of e-commerce giant, Amazon, will give an exclusive presentation about the future of connectivity and what it means for retail.

Michael Burgess, president of HBC Digital will discuss his innovative work leading the digital integration strategy of the Hudson Bay Company’s department store brands including the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue.

Dr Gordon Campbell, CEO of Spar International, the world’s largest independent retail chain, will be discussing the geographic changes in retail including new opportunities in international markets, and in an  industry first the forum’s opening address will be given by Aldi Australia’s co-group MDs, Tom Daunt and Stefan Kopp.

Other highlights include international turnaround specialists Andrew Jennings and Christine Cross, and Australian e-tailer, Ruslan Kogan.

They will join more than 30 of Australia’s most senior retailers for a vital and engaging look at the retail sector.

This event will take place March 2-3 2015 at the Hilton Hotel Sydney.
