Beachwear retailer Seafolly is launching an interactive fitting room mirror that allows customers to experience virtual shopping in-store with the touch of a button.
Seafolly’s new smart change room mirrors – or “magic mirrors” – provide onscreen sizing, colour options and a concierge service enabling customers to send messages to store staff from the change room.
“Shopping for swimwear can be a daunting task for many women,” Seafolly said in a statement.
“In a bid to alter this mindset, the ground-breaking technology offers a non-invasive approach to size options, colour choices and styling recommendations without deterring from Seafolly’s exceptional level of customer service from store staff.”
Solos, which designed the mirror, also claims that the technology eliminates the need for manual stock takes, reduces shrinkage by up to 45 per cent and provides 100 per cent stock accuracy at any given time.
Seafolly will officially introduce the technology on October 17 at its store in Westfield Bondi Junction. The retailer intends to roll out the system to the entire global network of stores.
