Savills director extends role in WA

unnamed-12Savills’ director of retail services, Chris Ireland, has extended his role in the West Australian market to also incorporate retail sales.

Ireland has more than 11 years of eperience in the retail sector and more than 22 years in total in the property industry.

He has extensive experience in retail property management and retail leasing and all facets of the retail sector.

Paul Craig, Savills WA MD, said Ireland’s broadened role will now also incorporate retail sales, adding further depth and specialist capabilities to the Savills service offering in the retail investment sector.

Craig said Savills has a strong track record in retail sales in the WA market, having handled a number of high profile retail investment transactions, including the likes of City Central and Melville Plaza in Perth and the Northgate Shopping Centre at Geraldton.

“Chris Ireland’s extended role will allow us to build on our strengths in the retail sales sector, while also providing a comprehensive and fully integrated service offering that encompasses all aspects of retail leasing, management and sales,”Craig said.

“This one stop shop approach, leveraging off Chris’ extensive industry knowledge, experience and contacts, provides a real point of difference and value-add component to our offering to retail property owners and investors.

“Given the complex nature of retail properties, our Retail Sales team has often called on Chris for his professional opinion in respect to leasing, rents, and re-positioning. He has already played an important role in educating prospective buyers in many of our Retail Sales transactions, and his new expanded role will take that approach to the next level in order to fully capitalise on his extensive market experience and knowledge.”

Ireland joins Paul Craig and Chas Moore in the Savills’ retail sales team in WA, which continues to grow its market presence and has a number of new transactions currently in progress.
