New Aldi for Liverpool

supermarket, aldiAldi Australia will open in the newly refurbished Miller Central in Liverpool, 38kms south-west of the Sydney CBD.

The new store is expected to open before the end of 2014, and will service local residents of Green Valley, Hoxton Park and Miller.

The Aldi store is expected to employee approximately 10 to 15 staff, and has secured a 1,522sqm tenancy on a 15 year lease.

Miller Central recently underwent an $8 million refurbishment, including new Italian terrazzo flooring, modern entry statements, energy efficient LED lighting and contemporary parents’ room and restrooms.

Since the Centre was purchased in 2010, Miller and surrounding suburbs have seen a significant increase in families and residents. According to RP Data, the average house price since 2010 has increased by over 44 per cent, reflecting the changing nature of the local population.

Knight Frank’s director of retail investment sales, Ben Stewart, negotiated the Aldi deal and said Aldi will thrive at Miller Central.

“Miller Central has constantly improved its offering to local residents and now presents the perfect mix of specialty tenants,” he said.
