Light show for launch

emporium-melbourne-lightsThe Emporium shopping centre development is teasing Melbourne’s expectant shoppers with a 3D light show ahead of its launch tomorrow.

Australia’s newest centre is this week projecting two giant cubes onto the Melbourne CBD skyline.

The first is a seven-storey tall projection on upper Swanston St, and the second is a 360 degree cube that hovers above Bourke St Mall.

Both installations feature a soundtrack to further “heighten the illusion”, says a release from the centre’s digital agency, tkm9 Group.

“The installations really show how progressive and innovative Emporium Melbourne is,” says Mark Hodgens, CEO of tkm9 Group.

“This is an incredibly bold and creative way to do a countdown and we’re delighted to be involved.”

The much anticipated Emporium centre opens on Thursday and will boast the first store of Japanese fashion retailer, Uniqlo.
