Kmart has appointed former Metcash GM of marketing, Michele Teague, as its new GM of marketing.
At Metcash, Teague built a national marketing team to manage brands that included IGA and Mitre 10, among others.
Kmart put out the call in October that it was looking for a senior executive to join the business, following Dion Workman’s departure to Woolworths-owned hardware chain, Masters.
Andre Reich, GM apparel and marketing, Kmart, said: “Having the best talent is what will set us apart and drive our growth, and with this in mind we are so excited to welcome Michele to the Kmart family.
“We have so many exciting things planned for the year ahead and can’t wait for Michele to work with our fantastic teams to create another ground breaking year for Kmart,” said Reich.
